Ahead of some major sandbox changes coming to Destiny 2 in March, Xur has arrived to offer some of his fanciest arms and armor from his refreshed inventory. Like every other weekend, you can grab some Exotic armor and weapons, Legendary-class gear, and the Xenology quest to help you earn an Exotic Cipher. Here’s where you can find Xur this weekend and what the Agent of the Nine has for sale.
This week you can find Xur in the EDZ, in the Winding Cove area. For his weapon, Xur is offering Arbalest. Hunters can pick up Khepri’s Sting gauntlets; Titans can grab the Mk. 44 Stand Asides boots; and Warlocks can buy the Karnstein Armlets gauntlets.
Xur Location
Spawn in at the Winding Cove transmat zone, then hop on your sparrow and go north. Take the collapsed overpass on the left and look for a cave near the bend in the road. Follow the tunnel through the cliff face to reach a higher ridge where a Fallen dropship has crashed; you’ll find Xur waiting there.

Exotic Armor
Khepri’s Sting (Exotic Hunter gauntlets)
Exotic gauntlets fit for a sneaky Hunter, Khepri’s Sting will drop a smoke bomb when you punch someone with a fully charged melee ability. These smoke bombs also deal increased damage, regenerate more quickly when stuck to a surface, and you’ll gain Truesight after damaging a target, allowing you to see through the lethal smoke. The strength stat is high on this roll, but discipline is very low. Everything else is average, making this a fairly balanced Exotic to consider.
- Mobility: 11
- Resilience: 11
- Recovery: 10
- Discipline: 2
- Intellect: 11
- Strength: 18
- Total: 63
Mk. 44 Stand Asides (Exotic Titan leg armor)
As the name suggests, you really want to move out of the way when you spot a Titan wearing these boots. Mk. 44 Stand Asides buff Titans with an overshield when they sprint at full speed while their health is full, and landing a blow with Hammer Strike, Seismic Strike, or Shield Bash equipped will recharge a portion of that melee energy. This Exotic has some great balanced stats for a melee-centric build, as strength and resilience are average to high, while recovery and discipline stats are pretty good as well. You will need to boost the low mobility and intellect stats, but otherwise, this is a very fair roll.
- Mobility: 3
- Resilience: 16
- Recovery: 15
- Discipline: 16
- Intellect: 6
- Strength: 12
- Total: 12
Karnstein Armlets (Exotic Warlock gauntlets)
For the Warlock looking to indulge in some vampiric fisticuffs, look no further than the Karnstein Armlets. Melee and finisher final blows instantly grant cure and provide restoration for a short duration, making this is a good option for a Solar-class build fcosued on the restorative perks this season. These gauntlets also have very good recovery stats, but you’ll need to apply an armor mod to address the low resilience on it. Strength is also pretty good and the intellect stat is on the average side.
- Mobility: 6
- Resilience: 3
- Recovery: 25
- Discipline: 7
- Intellect: 12
- Strength: 14
- Total: 67
Exotic Weapons
Arbalest (Exotic linear fusion rifle)
Barrier Champions can be a menace, but with Arbalest in your arsenal, you can make short work of these nuisances whenever they pop a shield. Breaking an enemies shield also makes them more vulnerable to kinetic weapons, so a quick swap to that primary damage-dealer will help you melt through even the toughest foes. A linear fusion rifle that you can equip in your energy slot, this is a great mid and long-range option for marksmen to consider.
- Compounding Force
- Extended Barrel
- Projection Fuse
- Disruption Break
- Composite Stock
Hawkmoon (Exotic hand cannon)
Hawkmoon is pretty decent this week, as you’re getting the Killing Wind perk on this roll. That gives you increased mobility, weapon range, and handling for a short duration whenever you eliminate an enemy, which works nicely with the Paracausal intrinsic trait.
- Paracausal Shot
- Polygonal Rifling
- Alloy Magazine
- Killing Wind
- Combat Grip

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
