After a spooky couple of months, Season of the Witch is coming to a close next week. Before the Season of the Wish introduces a new period of activity in Destiny 2, Xur is making his regular stop in the Solar system with a fresh selection of Exotic gear and Legendary-class items. Here’s where you can find Xur this weekend and what the Agent of the Nine has for sale.
This week you can find Xur in the EDZ, in the Winding Cove area. For his weapon, Xur is offering Tractor Cannon. Hunters can pick up Gemini Jester leg armor; Titans can grab the Peregrine Greaves leg armor; and Warlocks can buy the Phoenix Protocol armor.
Xur Location
Spawn in at the Winding Cove transmat zone, then hop on your sparrow and go north. Take the collapsed overpass on the left and look for a cave near the bend in the road. Follow the tunnel through the cliff face to reach a higher ridge where a Fallen dropship has crashed; you’ll find Xur waiting there.
Xur Exotic and Legendary Items
- Exotic Engram – 97 Legendary Shards
- Tractor Cannon – 29 Legendary Shards
- Peregrine Greaves – 23 Legendary Shards
- Gemini Jester – 23 Legendary Shards
- Phoenix Protocol – 23 Legendary Shards
- Hawkmoon – 200 Legendary Shards, 125,000 Glimmer, 1 Ascendant Shard, 1 Exotic Cipher
- Xenology quest – Free
- Legendary weapons and armor – 50 Legendary Shards, 1,000 Glimmer
Xur also offers the Xenology quest every week, which requires you to complete 21 Vanguard Ops or win Crucible and Gambit matches so that you can earn an Exotic Cipher. These are normally used to buy old Exotics from a kiosk in the Tower, but beginning this season, you’ll be able to spend them at Master Rahool to get the Exotics that you want. The cap on Exotic Ciphers has also increased, as you’ll now be able to hold up to five of them at a time.
Exotic Armor
Peregrine Greaves (Extoic Titan leg armor)
Peregrine Greaves is a situational Exotic for Titans, as it enhances shoulder charge abilities like Seismic Strike and Hammer Strike with extra damage when activated in the air. You also get a small gain to the airborne effectiveness stat of all weapons, but given that Titans mostly remain with their feet planted on the ground, don’t expect this Exotic to come in handy outside of PvP. The stats are average, with most of them balanced across the board, although the Strength stat is high and ties in nicely to the identity of this Exotic.
- Mobility: 11
- Resilience: 11
- Recovery: 10
- Discipline: 8
- Intellect: 7
- Strength: 15
- Total: 62
Gemini Jester (Exotic Hunter leg armor)
A great Hunter Exotic for PvP, Gemini Jester’s Misdirection perk will disorient enemies and temporarily remove their radar whenever you use your dodging ability. This roll has high mobility, recovery, and intellect stats, but everything else is average to low in comparison.
- Mobility: 15
- Resilience: 8
- Recovery: 12
- Discipline: 6
- Intellect: 15
- Strength: 10
- Total: 66
Phoenix Protocol (Exotic Warlock armor)
A must-have Exotic for Warlocks who support their fireteams with their Well of Radiance Super, Phoenix Protocol will return energy whenever you or your teammates make kills from inside of your Super ability. You’ll get up to half your Super energy returned to you, but the stats aren’t the best on this roll. Mobility is unnecessarily high and resilience is very low, but at least a high intellect stat can help reduce your Super cooldown time.
- Mobility: 24
- Resilience: 2
- Recovery: 11
- Discipline: 2
- Intellect: 19
- Strength: 10
- Total: 68
Exotic Weapons
Tractor Cannon
Tractor Cannon is an odd Exotic shotgun, but one that comes in very handy with the right build. Pushing enemies away comes in handy, but this Exotic’s key selling point is that it can debuff and suppress the abilities of your foes, setting them up for some powerful combos with your abilities and other weapons if you have the right loadout.
- Repulsor Force
- Extended Barrel
- Particle Repeater
- The Scientific Method
- Composite Stock
Hawkmoon
For once, Hawkmoon isn’t too bad this week! Killign Wind is this week’s roll, a trait that allows for increased mobility, weapon range, and handling from final blows. Paired with the rest of the available perks and Hawkmoon’s Paracausal Shot nature, and you’ve got a pretty decent version to play around with this week.
- Paracausal Shot
- Corkscrew Rifling
- Alloy Magazine
- Killing Wind
- Textured Grip

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
